While investigating the device Batman is transported to Mega City, where he comes across a Law enforcement officer, less willing to compromise than he is. He tells Batsy that he and Judge Death had found a device, that allows them to travel to other dimensions, and that he has scores to settle with Death (for some reason). The two do battle, and soon afterwards, Batman finds himself facing another unrecognizable foe by the name of Mean Machine. While on patrol Batman comes across a new villain called Judge Death.
